This video shows step by step instructions to replace the spark plugs on a 2.4L Hyundai Sonata or any other Hyundai car that has the 2.4L 4 cylinder engine.

SPARK PLUG GAP:
.044″

TOOL LIST:
Feeler Gauge
3/8 Drive Ratchet
Torque Wrench *Optional
10mm socket
13/16 Deep Socket
13/16 Spark Plug Socket
3/8 Drive Long Extension

TORQUE SPECS:
Spark Plugs 21 ft-lbs

A note on using anti-seize on the spark plugs, most modern plugs already have a coating on the threads that works as an anti-seize. Anti-seize will also cause incorrect torque down of the spark plugs. I do not use anti-seize on spark plugs.

If you feel like replacing the coil packs at the same time, you can get a pair of the for around $35 (May 2016) on Amazon: http://amzn.to/22Bd3qy If I had the time, I would have probably replaced these at the same time, this car has 150,000 miles on it and it couldn’t hurt.
