LR3 Mass Air Flow Sensor Clean or Replace

Replacing or cleaning the Mass Air Flow Sensor on LR3, LR4, Range Rover Sport or other Land Rover models is a very quick and simple process. I usually clean the MAF on my vehicles every year. The Mass Air Flow Sensor is sometimes the culprit in causing a check engine light, and before you replace the sensor, a good cleaning will sometimes take care of the problem. You should also disconnect the battery when changing removing the sensor, this will reset the check engine light.

The LR3 MAF is located on the passenger side of the engine compartment, on the engine intake piping, between the air filter and throttle body. The mass airflow sensor is held on by two torx screws. The screws are size T-20.
