Upgrade RAM HP Compaq Presario

The steps to upgrade the memory on a Compaq Presario V5000

  1. Turn off the computer and remove the battery (I didn’t in the video)
  2. Unscrew and remove the cover.
  3. Unscrew and flip back the RAM cover
  4. Unclip and gently remove the memory.
  5. Insert the new RAM and snap it back down.
  6. Reinstall the covers and battery
  7. The computer will automatically detect the new or upgraded memory.
