Secure Patio Door or Window with a Modified Vent Lock

If you have windows or doors with a vent lock, you can convert the vent lock into an additional lock to secure the window or door.

The patio door in this video is a Jeld-Wen from Home Depot. It came equipped with a vent lock and by drilling more holes into the frame, you can use the vent lock as a secondary lock on the door or window.
