Remove and Upgrade the Memory on a HP G60 Laptop

To upgrade the RAM on an HP G60 Laptop, all you need to do is remove the old memory and snap in the new memory. The only tool required is a small Philips screwdriver. Upgrading the memory in an old computer can help speed it up!

Begin the memory upgrade by removing the HP Laptop’s battery, then unscrew and remove the RAM cover.

Then snap out the old memory and snap in the new memory.

Screw the memory cover back on, then install the battery.

If you are concerned about static electricity when you are handling the memory, you can use a anti-static wristband, it is not required, just a precaution.

The max allowed RAM in the G60 laptop is 4GB according to HP Product Specs on the HP G60 Laptop
