How to Replace Rear Seats LR3 / Discovery 3.

The folding mechanism on one of the rear seats in my Land Rover LR3 failed. The internal cables had snapped and there is no way to repair this complex cable network. The only option is to replace the entire seat. You can see the failure of these cables starting to happen by looking for fraying at the pivot points where the seats fold over.

To remove the seat, you will need to remove 4 T-50 Torx screws at the front and back of the mounting bracket and disconnect 1 electrical connector.
